In House #1575: Tres Chicas' Bloom, Red & the Ordinary Girl, New Music from Jon Langford

Bloom, Red & the Ordinary Girl is the second full-length effort from Tres Chicas, out recently on Yep Roc. The band consists of three female singer-songwriters, Lynn Blakey, Tonya Lamm, and Caitlin Cary, who have enjoyed success as both solo artists and as part of other projects-- kind of a female supergroup of sorts.

This is probably most notably true of Cary, who got her start as the yin to Ryan Adams' yang as part of Whiskeytown and has since fostered a solid reputation as a solo artist. Tres Chicas play several shows in Austin, TX this week as part of the South by Southwest music festival.
