In House #1593: New Release from Irving; New Islands, Flaming Lips

San Francisco-based quintet Irving recently released their second full-length on eenie meenie, entitled Death In the Garden, Blood On the Flowers. In the past, the band has displayed a decided bent towards late-60's, Brit-inspired sounds ala the Kinks, but the new effort shows them branching out a bit to include elements of new wave in what is an impressively diverse collection of songs.
